CSO provides a wide array of services ranging from career planning advice to electronic resources accessible from anywhere in the world.
Alumni can lend their time and expertise by mentoring a student through Student/Alumni Mentor Circles, networking with students at the Student/Alumni Exchange, speaking on a Career Services panel, offering advice to students relocating to your city, help the Career Services Office conduct mock interviews with students, or receive six professional responsibility CLE hours for mentoring a recent graduate during his or her first year of practice.

Rising Attorneys Inclusive Summer Experience (R.A.I.S.E.)
UIC Law’s R.A.I.S.E. program was designed to provide access and information to students interested in impacting their communities by using a law degree to promote social justice. Students take part in a 2-day immersive experience that explores how to prepare for, apply to, and finance law school; what to expect during law school; and how they can use a JD degree to improve themselves, their community, and society. We welcome alumni to lend their time and expertise in the form of panels, presentations, and more.
For more information, please contact: law-raise@uic.edu
New Student Enrollment
Every year, UIC Law hosts New Student (1L) Orientation. During orientation, students learn the in’s and outs of law school including community expectations, academic support, lawyering skills, financial literacy, academic standing, student engagement, and more. Alumni have the opportunity to meet with admitted students to speak with them about your positive experiences at the law school and lend their expertise for success.
For more information, please contact: law-communications@uic.edu
Professional Clothes Closet Donation
If you’re looking to prune clean, modern, and new/gently-used professional clothes from your closet, consider donating them to the law school. Volunteers will be onsite to take anything we can accept off your hands. Donated clothes will help ensure our students look their best at job interviews, moot court competitions, and anywhere else they need to leave a strong impression. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept mail-in donations at this time, however you can drop them off at the Student-Alumni event on October 23, 2024.
Contact career services for drop off at law-cso@uic.edu.
