The Law School is fortunate to have a strong financial endowment that sustains the institution. Strong as this endowment is, however, it must be perpetually grown and nurtured to ensure that the Law School’s potential for great achievement is never limited by a lack of resources.
The simplest, most common means of giving to the Law School is to make a gift of cash, securities, or personal property.
These gifts can be put to work immediately and allow the Law School maximum flexibility in continuing to strengthen our programs, improve our facilities and technology, and encourage outstanding scholarship from our faculty and students.
You can make a cash gift securely online or send a check made payable to “UIF/UIC Law” to:
University of Illinois Foundation
P.O. Box 734500
Chicago, IL 60673-4500
If you are making your gift by check, please identify the area of your support on the memo line.
To make a gift of publicly traded stocks or mutual funds, please contact a staff member in the Office of Alumni Relations & Development by phone at (312) 360-2663 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know the name of the securities, the number of shares we may expect, and the designation of your gift.
You should consult your own tax, legal, and accounting advisors before engaging in any transaction.
Your company or firm may offer a matching gift program. Matching gifts are an excellent way to double or even triple your contribution.
For further information on matching gifts, please contact your personnel department or contact the Office of Alumni Relations & Development by calling (312) 360-2663 or emailing email@example.com.
Memorials & Gifts in Tribute
A memorial gift to the Law School is a thoughtful way to honor the memory of a friend, colleague or loved one, to express sympathy or to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion.
When you make a gift in tribute, an acknowledgement is sent to the individual or family being honored. Gifts made in tribute are fully tax deductible.
For any questions about this giving opportunity, please contact a staff member in the Office of Alumni Relations & Development by calling (312) 360-2663 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
A pledge is an excellent demonstration of your commitment to helping the Law School advance its mission of providing access and opportunity. Your pledge allows you to choose what specific initiative you would like to support, for how long, and at what dollar amount.
To make a pledge to the Law School, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations & Development by calling (312) 360-2663 or emailing email@example.com.
There are many ways of making a planned gift, including bequests, appreciated securities, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, and gifts from retirement plans.
